[BETA] Nether Opening!

After months of planning to implement the actual Nether dimension into GodWorld without affecting our server performance, it is now possible and has been done! Please take into consideration that the nether opening is in beta and we can make any changes at anytime to make it run smoothly. Special thanks to ashash1509 & MissJessicaAnne for their great collaboration and dedication to build the Nether map and implement it into GodWorld.

IMPORTANT! In order to provide you with a real survival experience, we have made the nether a wilderness where you will need to enter at your own risk - /god is even disabled in there!
The nether world will also be scheduled for a monthly reset to ensure resources are kept fresh and to make up for the fact it is a smaller world. The date of the next reset will be displayed in the spawn in the nether.

To access the new dimension you will need to use the command /nether , portals will still NOT work.

Restrictions:

- God mode is disabled.
- Land protection is disabled.
- The nether is not a place to build, the nether is a place to explore, get resources and is basically one big wilderness, that's why we will be resetting the Nether map on a monthly basis, so be careful!
- Standard wilderness rules apply - No vanish/fly killing etc.

*These restrictions only apply in the Nether world.

As most of you know GodWorld is 2 years old on April 2nd and to celebrate this we are having a week of surprises starting today! (March 30th).

Mar 13, 2013: In order to provide you with a speedy update so you are able to join GodWorld as soon as Minecraft is updated to 1.5 without waiting, we decided to do a speedy update. Please take into consideration the following:

- You will not be allowed to use any new 1.5 features until a proper update is released (It will be announced here).
- You won't be able to craft any item (This should be fixed in the next 24 hours).
- Compass benefit has been temporarily disabled, it should be re-enabled very soon!

GodWorld turns 2 on April 2nd 2013! Thats right, the server had been going for 2 whole years and with our registered member count at over 18000 we can say we have entertained a lot of you!

To celebrate we have lots of exciting things lines up, and the first one we are going to launch is this contest!

The contest will be a video entry one with the them of celebrating GodWorld 2nd birthday! We want to see you produce a video on no longer than 2 minutes showcasing and celebrating our birthday!

As with all our contests there will be 2 entry categories, default and builder/donor and the prize will be a FREE rank upgrade for the winners!

Donor Builder Applications are now open!

Great news GodWorld! Builders can now get the extra recognition they deserve!
We have been hard at work trying to find a way for builders to get a special tag on the forums and recognition in game and we have done it!

Builders will now get the following tag on the forums:



This includes current donors who used to be builders! They are entitled to get this builder tag to go with their donor tag as long as they can prove they were a builder too! (Your original application is enough)
As well as this, any donors who also used to be a builder they will get a unique "B" added to their donor rank to show that they have earned builder in the past! Surely something to show off for now!


How do I get this?

Well, first of the easiest way to we have to do this is to head over to the following link and fill out the short application form.

APPLY HERE

You will need to enter your in game name and also provide the link to your accepted builder application. When this is verified by us (Usually within 48 hours) you will get your forum tag and if applicable your in game rank.
If in the future you decide to upgrade your rank, your builder tag in game and on the forum will go with you!


COMING SOON!
Donors who have not tried for builder in the past will soon be able to apply just like the defaults currently can! We hope to introduce this as soon as the majority of original builders have applied and received their tags.

GodWorld has been successfully updated to 1.4.6


In order to provide an speedy update so everybody was able to play without waiting more time, you will notice some momentarily bugs in the server such as:

- Virtual Chests are momentarily disabled (when they return, you won't loose any stored item).
- You won't be able to craft firework rockets or firework stars.
- There is an item-frame rotation glitch.
- All item drops will be appearing as stone, but you will be able to pickup the original dropped item without any problem.

This bugs are going to be fixed very soon, thank you for your patience.
